Video Shows Person Dragged And Kidnapped In East Charlotte

Charlotte Police are seeking help in finding a suspect and victim after a Ring video shows a violent kidnapping in front of a home.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A person was kidnapped and dragged after 3 a.m. in east Charlotte, according to CMPD.

Four hours later, someone called in a welfare check to police. When police responded, they found a Ring doorbell video showing the graphic kidnapping.

This footage shows a violent encounter between two individuals and had a bookmark of approximately 3:00 a.m. on December 15. A person is seen trying to run from the suspect to get to the door of the home. The suspect then grabbed the victim, threw them to the ground and hit them multiple times.

The victim is then dragged against their will toward a car parked on the roadway. The car was last seen traveling toward Albemarle road. Detectives believe that the victim has sustained injuries that need immediate medical treatment due to this assault and kidnapping.
