Here are the top three stories in Charlotte today:

  1. An 18-year-old man has been charged with the shooting death of a Wendy's employee near Northlake Mall that occurred last month. Khamarin Tysheem Floyd allegedly shot 19-year-old Aveon Baker, an employee at a nearby Wendy's, on Apr. 20 and was arrested on Monday morning. The investigation is ongoing. (WBTV)
  2. A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools high school student has been accused of bringing a loaded gun to campus. An unidentified 18-year-old at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology was caught with a gun in their backpack through their new body scanners. Classes were not canceled and the student was removed from campus. (Spectrum News)
