Dr. Nicole Gunter, Collections Manager of Invertebrate Zoology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will present Friday, Jan. 13.

From CMNH: The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s acclaimed Explorer Series lectures presents the first lecture of 2017, “That’s How I Roll, The Wonderful World of Dung Beetles.”

Dr. Nicole Gunter, Collections Manager of Invertebrate Zoology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will present on Friday, January 13 at the Museum.

Over 5,000 species from six continents, “It’s a dung beetle’s world and we’re just living in it” will discuss dung beetles’ remarkable diversity, cosmopolitan distribution and steadfast association with vertebrates through dung feeding make them a living lens to view the vast history of evolution. With insights from DNA, we will tunnel through the evidence to determine if dung feeding evolved with mammals or with dinosaurs, and what those findings say about the story of natural history.
