  1. Around 100 cats have been rescued in Washington County following an eviction. A realtor for the home contacted the Human Society of the Ohio Valley to report the significant number of cats. The Washington County Sheriff's Office helped to safely collect the cats and bring them to the Washington County Fairgrounds for evaluation by local veterinarians. The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley asks that anyone able to donate to support the cats do so. (WTAP)
  2. Tickets for the 8th annual BrAva Mom Prom will go on sale online at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26. The popular event, taking place on Apr. 21 at the Washington County Multipurpose Building, is a benefit to raise money for those affected by childhood cancers. According to BrAva Vice President Erin Roberts, over $49,000 was raised at last year's event. She hopes to raise even more this year. Tickets are $50 and will be available on Eventbrite.
