• Marietta drops third straight to Otterbein, 64-44 (wtap.com) — Marietta’s women’s basketball team dropped its third straight game, falling 64–44 to Otterbein at Ban Johnson Arena after struggling from the field and free‑throw line. One bright spot was Kelsey Harlan, the only Pioneer in double figures, while Otterbein controlled the game from the second quarter on.
   

• 10 Ohio colleges and universities were not in alignment with the science of reading, audit shows (ohiocapitaljournal.com) — Marietta College is among the Ohio institutions fully aligned with the state’s new science of reading requirements, avoiding any violations of banned teaching methods. The audit found 10 major universities out of compliance and warned that programs not fully aligned by next December could lose approval. State leaders say the shift aims to improve reading outcomes for future Ohio students.
