Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. Agents of the Major Crimes Task Force announced the arrest of two Marietta citizens on drug trafficking charges. On Tuesday, Anthony James Curry and Clarissa Moira Dougherty were detained at a traffic stop while officers executed a search warrant at their residence. Upon finding grams of methamphetamine, the two were transported to Washington County Jail. (Marietta Times)
  2. Marietta College is educating students and locals on black history in the mid-Ohio Valley. The college is celebrating Black History Month through a series of events highlighting the region's unique history. All events are open to the public and listed on the private college’s webpage. (WTAP-TV)
  3. The Marietta-based band Oyo released its first album on all major streaming services on Tuesday. Oyo is a folk alternative band whose members play fiddle, bass, accordion, harmonica, percussion, and banjo. The self-titled album can also be purchased at JustAJar Design Press. (WTAP-TV)
