Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

  1. On Tuesday, Washington Elementary students got to experience some dinosaur-sized fun. Three programs from Dino in Ohio were gifted to the students, which included kindergarteners, first-graders, and older elementary students. The children were able to spend quality time with Baby Brutus the Brachiosaurus, Arrow the Velociraptor, Fern the T-Rex, and others during the event, which was sponsored by the school's PTO. (The Marietta Times)
  2. The first of two community open houses for the Parkersburg Bridge project was held on Tuesday. Meeting at the Wood County Society building on Eighth Street, officials from the Parkersburg Bridge Partners outlined their long-term plans for the bridge. The $50 million rehabilitation of the bridge will include a new electronic tolling system, scheduled to roll out in the fall of 2023. Locals were invited to the open house to discuss their concerns and have their questions about the bridge rehabilitation answered. (The Marietta Times)
  3. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted criminal. 44-year-old Ernest Boley is wanted for theft. Boley is described as being around 5'7" with brown hair and hazel eyes. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact local law enforcement.
