Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:
- As part of his Ohio bus tour, U.S. Senate candidate Mike Gibbons made a stop in Marietta on the campaign trail this Saturday. Gibbons gathered with many of his supporters at the Harmar Tavern, watching the Bengals game while discussing his background and policies. The prospective U.S. senator prides himself on bringing the nation together amid political division. (WTAP-TV)
- Marietta College has combined its celebration of the Lunar New Year and Multicultural Festival into one event, to be held on Sunday, Jan. 30 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The celebration will be free and open to the public. (Facebook)
- The Washington County Career Center has named its Student Ambassadors for the 2021-2022 school year. Ambassadors based on leadership, citizenship, character, and participation in school activities. Out of 23 students selected, nine hail from Marietta families. (Parkersburg News)
