Here are the top two stories today in Marietta:
- For the first time in over a decade, the Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley is building a house right here in Marietta. According to Executive Director Alvin Phillips, the reasons for delayed building in Marietta include challenges in obtaining city property and floodplain challenges. This particular home by the organization is a unique one, as it has been fitted with accommodations for two blind family members. (WTAP-TV)
- The We Lov Pets Marietta Ice Festival was in full swing on Saturday, with 19 incredible ice sculptures on display throughout the downtown area. The sponsors of the event included We Lov Pets, as well as artist Tyson Whistler of Whistler Ice Works.
