  2. The Arc of the Mid Ohio Valley is offering a scholarship of up to $2,000 for full-time students and $1,000 for part-time students who are pursuing careers in fields that help improve the lives of people with disabilities. The organization aims to provide services and programs that encourage children and adults with disabilities to learn, live, and play in their communities. By offering this scholarship, the hope is to encourage more locals to pursue careers in these fields and provide much-needed assistance in the area. The application deadline for the scholarship is Jun. 1.

  4. David Arnold Spencer has been found not guilty of second-degree sexual assault in nearby Parkersburg, WA, two days after the trial. His lawyer, George Consenza, argued that the evidence presented did not incriminate his client, as there was a lack of physical evidence, no reporting to authorities or the victim's roommate, and no rape kit used. The court ruled that the initial act was consensual, but once the woman removed consent, Spencer stopped. (WTAP)
