Washington County deputies busted a Belpre man for a massive indoor marijuana grow op, they also found a small amount of meth.

MARIETTA, OH — On 13 Aug 2021 Agents with the Major Crimes Task Force conducted an investigation resulting in the arrest of William Lee Mossburg, age 51, 200 Florence Street, Belpre, Washington County, Ohio.

Agents executed a search warrant at the residence of William Mossburg. Agents located an indoor grow of 49 marijuana plants in the basement of the residence.
Also recovered were numerous grow lights, potting soil, and plastic pots. The weight of plants was found to be 3.88 kilograms.

Agents also located approximately .32 grams of methamphetamine in the residence.
William Mossburg was charged with cultivation of marijuana greater than or equal to 1 kg but less than 5 kg, a 3rd-degree felony, and possession of methamphetamine less than bulk, a 5th-degree felony.

Mossburg was placed under arrest and processed into the Washington County Jail where he will remain incarcerated until his appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on Monday 16 Aug 2021.
