  1. The Academic Resource Center director at Marietta College will be featured on a national podcast. Amanda Haney-Cech, a fan of the podcast "Office Hours with John Gardner," was interviewed by the podcast host, and the episode will release later this month. "The students are my focus, and supporting them in every way I am able is just who I am as a person. I am honored to be asked to do this podcast, and I hope what I have to say will help someone else," said Haney-Cech. (Subscription: Marietta Times)
  2. A Casino Night Fundraiser will be held at the Vault in Marietta on Mar. 3. The event will benefit the River City Symphony Orchestra with credit to a partnership between the Vault and Peoples Bank Theatre. Miranda Duty, a board member of the symphony as well as the general manager of the theatre, said, "It is going to be $75 a person per ticket, but you’ll also get 75 chips, which is going to be good for the roulette, blackjack, and poker."
