Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released new hospitalization numbers for the state of Ohio and Marietta. Currently, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, 20 percent of inpatient beds are being used by suspected COVID-19 patients and 100 percent of ICU beds are in use. The amount of COVID-19 patients decreased from last week. (Marietta Patch)
- The Parkersburg man who fled police on Friday and was arraigned in Marietta Municipal Court now has a hearing scheduled. Martin Riley Robinson will appear in court today (Feb. 2) at 1:00 p.m. for a preliminary hearing. He could be charged with attempted malicious assault of a government official and fleeing with reckless disregard. (Parkersburg News)
- Marietta residents are encouraged to sign up for an indoor triathlon in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The YMCA Parkersburg will be holding its annual indoor triathlon on Mar. 12 to 13. The competition is a one-hour time segment of swimming, cycling, and treadmill training. (Marietta Times)
