On June 29TH, 2021 AT 0953HRS P66 was dispatched to 15 Acme Street Bridgeport Equipment, for a theft. Upon arrival and after investigation it was found that a male subject had switched fishing reels on an exchange. As a result, the suspect who was identified will receive a summons for theft.

On 06/29/21 P60 responded to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. After investigation, it was learned that the suspect was failing to ring items up in the self-checkout lane. A summons will be requested for the suspect to appear for the charge of theft.

On 063021 at 0700 HRS P68 took a report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering with several items taken.

On 06/30/2021, P72 responded to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. P72 initiated an investigation after a woman failed to scan multiple items in the self-checkout line. P72 filed a request for summons be issued to the female on a charge of theft.

On 070121 at 05:07 HRS, P57 was dispatched to Marietta PD headquarters in regards to the report of an individual possessing her spouse's phone that contains child pornography. The complainant who had in her possession the suspect's phone that had possible photos of a 17-year-old juvenile and messages of him asking for said photos. The phone was seized for evidence for a search warrant to be obtained to be analyzed.

On 07/01/21 at 0927HRS, P64 was dispatched to the 200 block South Eighth Street in reference to a bicycle that had been behind a business for a few weeks and needed removed. Upon arrival, officers found the bicycle and transported it to the Marietta P.D. for safekeeping.

On 07/01/2021 at 16:34 P52 was checking on a suspicious male, Christopher Carpenter, in the Kroger lot. P52 observed Carpenter toss a baggy with methamphetamine in it on the ground. Carpenter was also in possession of syringes that Carpenter admitting to using to inject the meth in his arms. Carpenter also had an active warrant out of WCSO. Carpenter was arrested on the warrant and charged with tampering with evidence and drug abuse instruments. Carpenter was transported to the WCJ to await his court appearance.

P35 investigated theft complaint. A man was observed failing to scan multiple items in the self-checkout line. He will be summoned into court for a charge of theft.

On 07/03/21 at around 1300 hours, P63 responded to 404 Fort Harmar Drive in reference to a mini desert eagle .380 being stolen off a vendors table.

On 070421 at 0002 HRS, S17 stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Pike Street. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in locating drugs. The drugs will be sent to BCI for testing/identification. Once results are received charges will be forwarded to the prosecutors office for possible presentation to grand jury.

On 07/04/21 P75 was dispatched to Marietta Police Department in reference to a protection order violation. This incident is still under investigation.

On 07/05/2021 P52 handled an animal complaint located at 430 Bellevue Street. P52 learned that a white dog with black spots had came to this residence and was growling, barking, and chased the owner onto his porch. P52 spoke with the victim and the owner of the dog. A summons was requested for dog at large.

On 070521, P65 was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike Street, Marietta, Ohio, in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival and after the investigation, it was learned that a male had attempted to steal several different items of clothing but was stopped by an employee. The male then left all items but still passed the last point of sale. The male will be summoned on a charge of theft.

On July 06,2021 P52 was dispatched to a dog complaint located at 430 Bellevue Street. On his arrival P52 learned that the caller, who was intoxicated, discharged a firearm three separate times in two different locations, one being over a roadway. P52 arrested and charged Robert Dahler with weapons while intoxicated and discharging a firearm over a roadway.
