- Marietta was featured in a roundup of the eight most charming small towns in Ohio! WorldAtlas also recommended the renowned Gothic Revival-style Castle as a "must-visit" destination. (World Atlas)
- Now through Feb. 10, Marietta Main Street will be accepting applications for the Paul Bruhn Historic Preservation Grant. Building owners in the C4 downtown district are eligible to receive funding for building preservation projects or renovations between $50,000 to $100,000 in value. - Many schools in the mid-Ohio valley are running out of snow days — and some are already maxed out. Marietta City Schools' Friday closure marked the district's sixth calamity day, above the limit of five "free" days per school year. Any days beyond this will need to be made up before the end of the school year, either at the start of spring break or at the end of the school year. (News and Sentinel)
