🌱 Pioneers Begin NCAA Tournament + Weekend Weather

First, today's weather:

High clouds and milder. High: 51 Low: 37.

Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

1. Marietta College's men's basketball team, the Pioneers, will begin their NCAA tournament trial at home tonight. They will face Medaille at the Ban Johnson Arena tonight at 7:15 p.m. On Saturday, the winner of that game will face the winner of the Rochester and Eastern game. (Subscription: Marietta Times)
2. After a series of accidents and car breakdowns in Marietta, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to receive car maintenance on their vehicles. According to the department, from 2017 to 2021, 10,255 crashes were caused by defects from cars that did not have routine maintenance. Of those crashes, 56 resulted in deaths. (WTAP)
3. This weekend Marietta looks to be sunnier! While Friday will be cloudy and cool, Saturday brings a sunny high of 74 and a low of 65. Sunday will see some showers with a high of 72 and a low of 58. (Marietta Patch)
