- The City of Marietta is hiring seven seasonal workers for the Public Works Department. The jobs will last from Apr. 1 until Dec. 31. Applications can be printed through the city's website and dropped off at the Mayor's Office. (City of Marietta)
- The 41st Marietta Times Regional Spelling Bee was held at the Mid-Ohio Valley Players Theatre on Friday. Spellers from different schools in the area competed in the event. 13-year-old Chloe Lesher won the Bee and a $100 grand prize. (Parkersburg News and Sentinel)
