  1. The Washington State Community College is planning a community candlelight vigil in memory and support for those who have been impacted by suicide. The vigil is planned for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Dec. 11. (WTAP)
  2. The Marietta City Council held a special meeting on Thursday to pass emergency legislation. The special meeting was held due to council members' absences during the regular Dec. 1 meeting. The council is expected to return to its usual schedule on Dec. 15. (Marietta Times)
  3. A Marietta man was sentenced to serve eight years of prison for throwing pipe bombs at towboats on the Ohio River. Nathaniel Blayn Becker, 43, was convicted in April for the incidents. (Waterways Journal)
