A short time later a 911 call was received from Gregory Shuerger, who advised a male in a red hoodie threw a 2×8 through the front window of Weddle’s Dairy Bar. Deputy Young arrived on scene and observed a large board hanging out of a large glass window on the front of the dairy bar. The board was from a picnic table in front of the dairy bar. The first caller stated they seen a male walking towards Park Avenue. The male was observed near the picnic table and the witness then heard glass breaking, and the male then walk over and sit in the grass, then walking away in the direction he came from. A description of the male was obtained. Gregory Shuerger was on the front porch at 100 Evans Street. Shuerger matched the description of the male given by the witness. Shuerger stated he had not heard glass breaking, and had been on his phone the whole time. Lt. Parks assisted in the investigation and heard Shuerger yelling “it was me” and “I did it.” Deputies returned to Shuerger’s residence and found him in his yard.
