On 9 Jul 2021 Deputy Peters was dispatched to 295 Greene Street, Newport, OH, in reference to a welfare check. Frankie Sergent met with Deputy Peters at the residence. Deputy Peters observed two smoking pipes and Sergent stated they were hers. A summons is being requested for Frankie D. Sergent, age 43, for drug paraphernalia, a 4th-degree misdemeanor.

On 18 Jul 2021 deputies were dispatched, along with the Warren Volunteer Fire Department, to 125 Rummer Road, Marietta, OH. Numerous 911 calls had been received in reference to a truck wreck at this location. A crash report was completed and medical attention was given to the driver.
On 19 Jul 2021 Deputy Tornes requested a summons be issued to James R. Corbett, age 80, 501 Duncan Drive, New Matamoras, OH, for failure to restrain.

On 19 Jul 2021 Sgt. McConnell responded to the Washington County Jail, 101 Westview Avenue, Marietta, OH, in reference to an assault that occurred in the jail between two female inmates. Courtney Clayton reported she was assaulted by Chloee Beach. Beach was using the phone and had been using it most of the day. While Beach was using the phone, Clayton went over and hung up the phone. Beach became upset about the phone being hung up, so she punched Clayton in the face. Chloee Elizabeth Beach, age 22, 844 Bryden Road, Columbus, OH, was charged with assault.

On 20 Jul 2021 Deputy Peters completed a private property crash report at the library parking lot in Barlow Township. Vera Hill, 857 Southland Cemetery, Cutler, OH, was backing from a spot when she struck a vehicle being operated by Megan Ann Barrett, age 33, 19089 Walter Grove Drive, Noblesville, IN. The crash caused minor damage.

On 21 Jul 2021 Deputy Aultman began an investigation into a storage building at Deerwalk Circle being entered and a few items being stolen. The victim refused to have anyone prosecuted in this case. The case is closed.

Jamie Dearman Barrett, age 26, Belpre, OH, failure to display.

Seth Daniel Reed, age 28, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, 2 counts, both felonies.

Jennifer Rebecca Mollohan, age 40, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Andrew Mykel Tyler Davis, age 29, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 27 female inmates and 94 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
