2 Women Shot On Pittsburgh Street

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two women were shot this morning in the city's Allentown neighborhood.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were called to the intersection of East Warrington Avenue and Allen Street just after 7 a.m. for three separate Shotspotter alerts totaling three rounds.

They found two women with gunshot wounds - one to her arm, the other to her abdomen. Both women were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Shell casings and a firearm were recovered at the scene.

No suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.

Police consider the shooting an isolated incident and said there is no ongoing risk to the public.
