Decades-Old Pittsburgh Publication Changes Hands

PITTSBURGH, PA — Shady Ave, a magazine that has chronicled lifestyle news in Pittsburgh's East End and the city's eastern suburbs for nearly 30 years, has a new owner.

Table Media Inc., which publishes Table Magazine announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Shady Ave. from Trib Total Media. Table covers food, home design, fashion and culture in Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

A purchase price was not disclosed.

Table stated in a release that Shady Ave will remain its own distinct entity under its ownership. Table has hired Pittsburgh Magazine managing editor Sean Collier to be the editor of Shady Ave; he also will contribute to Table's arts and culture coverage.

The first issue of the new Shady Ave will be released in Spring 2026. Under Table ownership, Shady Ave will publish a print publication five times annually and will update the magazine’s digital
and social media coverage daily.
