Discount On Dog Adoptions For Mother's Day At Humane Animal Rescue Of Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — A few dozen dogs in the Pittsburgh area would love to have a new pet parent for Mother's Day.

Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh is offering a special for adult dog adoptions this weekend: 50 percent off the adoption fee.

HARP Director Michele Frennier told WTAE there is an abundance of dogs at the shelters. She told the news station that both surrendered and stray dogs make up the population of pups needing homes.

For adult dogs, the reduced adoption fee is $100 this weekend.

Click here to see adoptable pets through HARP. The animal rescue group has two shelters: East Side Campus at 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15208 and North Side Campus at 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15233.

For both shelters, adoption services are appointment only on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the week, adoption services are open Tuesday through Friday from 1-6:30 p.m.
