Former Pittsburgh Radio Announcer Dies
A former Pittsburgh radio personality has lost a battle with an insidious ailment.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A memorial service will be held June 28 for Pittsburgh radio personality Vicki Cohill.
The former Mt. Washington resident died June 17 of ALS.
According to her obituary, Cohill earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast communication from Florida Southern College and professionally active in Pittsburgh and Masassas, VA.

She worked at SBN/WAMO AM-FM, Mix Jams 100.7 FM, Lite FM 92.9, Thunder 107.7 FM and American Urban Radio Networks on Sirius radio. She also did freelance voice and TV work and remote events during sporting events and at the Fox Chapel Yacht Club.
She addressed her illness in one of her final social media posts last months.

"I think if I had to choose between the use of my voice or my right arm, I would choose my arm," she posted on Facebook. "That way I could love on the animals and give hugs to people. Not to mention itch my nose! Just a random thought for the last day of ALS Awareness Month."
