Local Hero: Lynn Glorieux Quietly Makes Life Better In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

How do you know the local hero? Neighbors

What does the local hero do? Every single day, Lynn cleans litter from our urban park. She helps maintain the flower beds, and figures out ways to have kids and teenagers join in.

Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored? See above.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero? Not only does Lynn work tirelessly to create a beautiful environment for everyone, she always has a smile for absolutely everyone. This is not a job or some kind of organized volunteer effort, she just recognized there was a problem and that she had time and opportunity to make a difference
