Man Caught With Gun At New Pittsburgh Airport Terminal
A man has been charged after allegedly attempting to sneak a gun through a Pittsburgh International Airport security checkpoint.

FINDLAY TOWNSHIP, PA — New airport terminal, same old situation with people to illegally bring guns onto their flight.
Allegheny County Police have charged a Pitcairn man after a firearm was discovered at the security checkpoint at Pittsburgh International Airport's Landside Terminal on Sunday.
At 6:14 a.m. Transportation Security Administration officers observed a loaded revolver within a passenger’s carry-on bag at the checkpoint of Pittsburgh International Airport and alerted police.

Authorities identified the passenger as Lang, 26, and determined Lang did not possess a valid concealed carry permit. Lang is charged with carrying a firearm without a license. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was also notified.
Passengers who bring firearms into an airport security checkpoint can face federal civil fines from the Transportation Security Administration up to $10,000. Repeat offenders can be fined up to $13,910.
