Man Dead In Pittsburgh-Area Shooting
The shooting death Tuesday of a Pittsburgh-area man is being probed.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Allegheny County Police are investigating the shooting death Tuesday of a man in Wilkinsburg.
At 8:42 p.m., county 911 was notified of a shooting in the 700 block of South Avenue. First responders found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scen.
Preliminary information shows the victim was located in the roadway at the intersection of South and Center avenues.

The county medical examiner's office has yet to release the victim's identity.
Detectives are initiating the investigation.
