PA State Police Raid Popular Pittsburgh Bar

PITTSBURGH, PA — Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Enforcement officers raided a popular South Side bar.
Kulcher Kitchen & Bar at the intersection of East Carson and 26th streets, was raided on Jan. 9, according to a state police report. The tavern allegedly was selling alcohol without a license.
Officers seized 71 gallons of beer/malt or brewed beverages, 56 gallons of liquor and $198 in cash.

Police said criminal charges are pending.
Kulcher opened in 2024 in the space once occupied by Excuses, an iconic Pittsburgh bar specializing in live music and open mic nights.
