Multiple Shootings In Pittsburgh On New Year's Day

PITTSBURGH, PA — Violence plagued Pittsburgh on the first day of the new year, with three people wounded in separate shooting incidents.
Police are investigating a shooting Thursday night in the 7300 block of Monticello Street in Homewood. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety Officials, a man in his 30s suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Earlier in the day, police were called to the 8000 block of Bennett Street in the city's East Hills neighborhood. They found a woman located outside of a residence suffering from gunshot wounds to the thigh. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Just after midnight, police went to the 1000 block of Constance Street to aid a woman in a house with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet and medics transported her to the hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in any of the shootings as of Friday morning.
