PITTSBURGH, PA — Former President Barack Obama will visit Pittsburgh next week to launch a swing state campaign tour in support of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Obama will be in town on Oct. 10. The Harris campaign has not yet released the location or time of his appearance.

Both Harris and Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump have made numerous appearances in Pennsylvania over the past several months as they jockey to capture the state's popular vote and its 19 Electoral College votes. Many political experts believe that the presidential race could be decided by which candidate wins Pennsylvania.

An Emerson College poll released Monday showed Trump and Harris deadlocked at 48 percent in Pennsylvania.

Trump and running mate JD Vance will hold a rally Saturday at the Butler Farm Show, where Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt in July. Three spectators were shot at that rally, one of them fatally.
