Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Pittsburgh Suburb
A man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle on a busy Pittsburgh-area road.
MONROEVILLE, PA — A man died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night on a busy stretch of highway.
Allegheny County police were notified of the incident in the 4000 block of William Penn Highway at around 9:30 p.m. First responders found a man in critical condition. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Thomas Tate, 48.

The driver of the vehicle that hit him remained on scene.
