Pittsburgh Dog Eats Thousands In Cash
Cecil the goldendoodle decided he wanted a bite to eat. What he ate is not something typically found in a dog bowl.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Cecil the dog isn't interested in kibble. He likes to dine on cash. The 7-year-old goldendoodle ate $2,000 of a Point Breeze couple's money last month.
Clayton and Carrie Law's dog stole $4,000 in cash that the pair had withdrawn from the bank to pay for a fence repairs. He pounced on a countertop to retrieve the money, devoured about half of it, and chewed and tore up the rest.
"This whole story is just very out of character," Clayton Law told WTAE-TV.

What happened next is not for the faint of heart.

Thankfully, the couple's bank said it would take back any bills that were taped back together, as long as the full serial numbers were visible. The Laws ended up recovering about $3,500 of the money, albeit much of it in icky fashion.
The Laws said they did not get angry over Cecil's monetary snack.
