WHITE OAK, PA — A popular Pittsburgh pizza parlor baked its last pie over the weekend, but the news isn't all bad. It will reopen soon in a new location.

Rockaway Pizzeria, which has gained a loyal following since its inception in 2017, shuttered its location on Lincoln Way in White Oak as owner Josh Sickels prepares to move his business to South Braddock Avenue in Regent Square. The pizzeria will occupy the space formerly occupied by the Square Cafe, which relocated to East Liberty.

"Done," Sickels stated in a Facebook post.

"Thank you for everything, from the bottom of my heart. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity, White Oak. Thanks to Corbin, and the rest of my crew for helping me hold this thing together when it felt like it was all too much to handle. It’s time for a change now, but I won’t be too far away. I hope to see a lot of familiar faces at the new joint. Until then…"

Sickels did not provide an estimated opening date for the Regent Square location.
