Senior Severely Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — A 71-year-old man was critically injured early Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle in Oakland.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Forbes and Oakland avenues around 4:45 a.m.

First responders found a man lying in the road with a head injury. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

It's unclear if any criminal charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
