Steelers Bringing Back '70s Dynasty Uniform Look
It will seem more like 1974 than 2024 when the Steelers take the field this week wearing nostalgic uniforms.

PITTSBURGH, PA — When the Steelers take the field Sunday night against the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium, they will wear throwback uniforms recalling the 1974 team that gave birth to a football dynasty.
The uniforms will feature block numbers and letters and a commemorative Super Bowl IX patch. Super Bowl IX was the first of six the Steelers have won.
This year’s throwback uniforms also feature for the first time gray facemasks on the helmet, a nod to the facemasks worn in the early 1960s through much of the 1970s, including the 1974 season.
