Suspect Arrested In Fatal Pittsburgh Stabbing

A Pittsburgh woman has been charged with stabbing another woman to death early Monday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police have arrested a woman in connection with the stabbing death of another woman early Monday in Homewood West.

Just before 5:00 a.m., police were dispatched to the 6800 block of Lyric Street for reports of a
stabbing. Arriving officers located a woman inside a residence with a stab wound to her chest, possibly after an altercation.

Officers attempted to render aid until medics arrived, but Raneisha Scott, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pittsburgh Public Safety on Tuesday announced that Maurissa Plummer, 21, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide. She is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
