PITTSBURGH, PA — President Donald Trump is returning to the Pittsburgh area to hold a rally at U.S. Steel's Irvin Works in West Mifflin.

Trump's visit comes a week after a social media post announcing that plans for the long-discussed merger between U.S. Steel and Japan's Nippon Steel would proceed in what he termed a "planned partnership."

"For many years, the name, 'United States Steel' was synonymous with Greatness, and now, it will be again. This will be a planned partnership between United States Steel and Nippon Steel, which will create at least 70,000 jobs, and add $14 Billion Dollars to the U.S. Economy."
