Veteran Pittsburgh Musician Dies
A member of one of Pittsburgh's most legendary local bands has died. Patch provides the details.
PITTSBURGH, PA —Gil Snyder, a longtime piano player for the local Pittsburgh band the Iron City Houserockers, has died.
Houserockers singer and songwriter Joe Grushecky announced Snyder's death Sunday on social media.
"Gil’s sense of style, his love of the blues and rock and roll, and unique style of playing were major factors in the sound, feel, and look of the Iron City Houserockers," Grushecky wrote. "He was truly
one of a kind. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family. God bless you Duke. We will see you again at that 'Old Man’s Bar.'"
