Here's the latest information from the National Weather Service on the wintry forecast for the Pittsburgh area.
PITTSBURGH, PA — It will feel look and feel more like January than November in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued an alert that scattered snow showers could produce as much as an inch of snow today. The accumulation primarily will be on grassy and elevated surfaces, but could cause some slippery roads and surfaces with air and roadway temperatures below freezing.
It also is feeling extremely cold outside. Wind chills across the region are largely in the teens and 20s, with higher elevations in the single digits.

Temperatures today will climb only to near 40 and breezy conditions will prevail, with west winds at 15to 20 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph.
Temperatures will begin to moderate on Wednesday, with an anticipated high of 48. The forecast for Thursday is a high of 51; on Friday the high will be around 54.
