Worker Shot In Pittsburgh Restaurant Altercation Dies
A man has died from his wounds after being shot while on the job at a Pittsburgh restaurant.
UPDATED: A suspect has been arrested.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man who was shot while on security duty at a Lawrenceville restaurant last week has died.
Malcolm Nowlin, 26, of Penn Hills, was shot Oct 6 while working at the Diljah Restaurant and Hookah Lounge on Butler Street. Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said the shooting occurred during an altercation.

While no arrests have been made, public safety officials said over the weekend that the investigation is ongoing and very active.
Silky's Pub in Bloomfield, where Nowlin primarily was employed and which was raising money for Nowlin and his family, paid tribute to him in a social media post.

"Our beloved employee, Malcolm, has passed on. This world was a better place with Malcolm in it, and his positivity and genuine spirit will stay with us all," the post stated. "We appreciate all of the love and support the Silky's community has shown this past week. Please continue to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers."
