December Health Inspection Reports In Wayne, Berwyn And Paoli

See if your favorite eatery has any health code violations.

TREDYFFRIN/EASTTOWN—Chester County Health inspectors paid visits to numerous establishments in the Berwyn, Wayne, and Paoli areas this month.
Inspectors found some establishments to violate health codes set by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

See places inspected and number of violations found:

  • LaCabra Brew Pub: 642 Lancaster Ave.: one violation: stores raw eggs above ready-to-eat foods.
  • Hibachi of Valley Forge: 240 W. Swedesford R0ad: 7 violations: food utensils at rice dispensing station, wet wipe clothes not sanitized, walk-in freezer not closing, non-food area not clean, plumbing not maintained and thermometers not readily available.
  • Donut House: 312 Swedesford Road: three violations: right side of cooking exhaust not properly working, equipment not in good shape, and food facility does not have a certified food manager.
  • St. John’s Presbyterian Church: 217 Berkley Road, Devon: 2 violations: dish detergent and sponge in an area not used for handwashing, light bulb burnt out above woman’s restroom.
  • Cafe Pom: 19 Paoli Plaza: 5 violations: sewer pipe in lower level kitchen storage rack, need a separation barrier in kitchen, fire extinguisher outdated, cracked surfaces, and does not employ a certified food employee.
  • 7/Eleven: 1818 Lancaster Ave., Paoli: three violations: fire extinguisher outdated, a floor in serving area not smooth, need to install new floor.
  • Bravo Pizza, 82 E. Lancaster Ave.: equipment not in good repair, does not have a certified food employee.
  • Courtyard Cafe at Marriott: Devon, 762 W. Lancaster Ave.: 4 violations: dairy products past the expiration date, dairy products not stored at the correct temperature, doors loose, thermometer not easily accessible.
  • St. David's Golf Club: 4 violations: wiping cloths not stored in sanitizer solutions, non-food surfaces not clean, and ice buckets not properly stored.
