5 Domestic Assaults; Crack Cocaine Charges: Cranston Police Arrest Log

CRANSTON, RI — The following people were arrested by Cranston police between Sept. 1 and Sept. 4.

Names of those arrested, their age, or the town they reside in, as well as the time of the arrest, were only omitted when not provided by police.

Sept. 1

5:26 p.m. — Gentina Smith, 43, of Providence, was arrested on a warrant out of Rhode Island Superior Court. Police said the arrest happened after a motor vehicle stop on Harris Avenue.

5:26 p.m. — Vannak Peou, 51, of Providence, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, and driving with a suspended license (fourth offense or greater. Peou was also arrested on a warrant out of Rhode Island Superior Court. Police said the arrest happened after a motor vehicle stop on Harris Avenue.

Sept. 2

1:46 p.m. — Emal Hotak, 39, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Sept. 3

12:46 p.m. — George Furness, 59, of Seekonk, Massachusetts, was charged with embezzlement/fraudulent conversion over $100. Police said Furness was arrested in Tiverton and brought to Cranston on a warrant.

3:54 p.m. — Santiago Devers, 40, of New York, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

3:54 p.m. — Jose Trinidad, 19, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Sept. 4

3:45 a.m. — Osman Garcia, 51, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

3:45 a.m. — Krystal Garcia, 26, of Cranston, was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

3:45 a.m. — Luna Garcia, 18, of Cranston, was charged with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic disorderly conduct.

12:02 p.m. — Michael Shutt, 58, of Cranston, was charged with sexual offender registration required.
