Cranston Library's Arlington Branch To Be Renamed

The new name will be the "Edward Costa Memorial Arlington Branch" in honor of longtime trustee Edward Costa, the library said.

CRANSTON, RI — The Cranston library is renaming one of its branches in memory of a longtime trustee, according to Edward Garcia, library director. The Arlington Library, the branch inside the Cranston Senior Center, is going to be known as the "Edward Costa Memorial Arlington Branch." Costa was a "longtime library trustee and Arlington Library advocate," Garcia said.

The name change and dedication will happen May 14 at a 10:30 a.m. ceremony. U.S. Sen. Jack Reed and Mayor Allan Fung are the guest speakers.
