Police Investigating Report of Gunfire in Cranston
The sound of gunshots were reported shortly before 11 p.m.

CRANSTON, RI—Cranston police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night.
Police got reports of gunfire shortly before 11 p.m. An officer reportedly heard what sounded like six or seven gunshots in the area of Park Avenue near Park View Avenue. Other people in the area called 911 to report hearing gunshots.
Police have not released any information and the situation is developing.

A person arrived at Rhode Island Hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after the shooting, according to reports.
The victim was shot once in the head and arm, according to reports.

Officers were checking several locations as the investigation unfolded, including Zona Lounge on Niantic Avenue.
An area of Arcadia Avenue was closed off and detectives discovered shell casings in the road bullet holes in a house.
