Whitehouse, Langevin, Reed, Cicilline Endorse Hillary for President

Rhode Island's entire federal delegation has endorsed Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State's campaign announced Monday.

RHODE ISLAND—Rhode Island's two U.S. Senators and two House Representatives are all Democrats and all have endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for President.

The Clinton campaign announced on Monday that the entire federal delegation has formally endorsed her campaign.

"I served with Hillary in the Senate, and I'm confident that she is immensely qualified and capable to be our next President,” said Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. “Hillary’s record as a tireless fighter for middle class families, civil rights, our environment, and putting people over special interests will make her a president who moves Rhode Island and our country forward with skill, passion and force."

"I have worked closely with Hillary, and I support her because she is the best person to lead our nation forward,” said Senator Jack Reed. “She has the skills, experience, and commitment we need to make progress for middle-class families and improve economic opportunities for all Americans. She is highly-qualified and well suited to be our next Commander-in-Chief."

"I am proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for president because I strongly believe she is the most qualified person to be president of the United States,” said Congressman David Cicilline. “Her experience as Secretary of State, as a senator, and as First Lady have provided her with the set of experiences needed to be ready on day one. Hillary is an outstanding public servant who has dedicated herself to improving the lives of American families and working every day to make sure every American has the opportunity to reach their full potential."

"Throughout her career, Hillary has brought people together to get things done, while never hesitating to stand up and fight for what she believes. She is exactly the kind of tough, proven and principled leader we need as our next president,” said Congressman Jim Langevin. “Hillary will fight for the issues that matter to Rhode Islanders, like raising wages, keeping our neighborhoods safe, ensuring our children have access to a quality education and working to protect our environment. I'm proud to join the many Rhode Islanders across the state who are supporting her campaign."
