The Rhode Island Society For The Prevention of Cruelty of Animals is hoping to find a new home for Toy, a miniature horse that was seized as part of a cruelty investigation. The six-year-old miniature stallion reportedly has a very sweet personality.

Toy is currently suffering from laminitis, which is inflammation of the tissue inside the hoof. The RISPCA said the horse is receiving treatment for the painful condition, which causes temporary lameness, but will most likely need continued medical care.

Anyone interested in adopting Toy is encouraged to contact Joe Warzycha at the RISPCA by calling (401) 438-8150. If you'd like to make a donation to help fund Toy's veterinary care, email Toni Lautieri.
