Johnston Police Seek Suspects in Multi-State Shoplifting Ring

Police said two men stole $840 in medication from the CVS on Putnam Pike recently and are believed to be involved in other cases.

JOHNSTON, RI—Johnston police are trying to identify to men involved in a shoplifting incident at the CVS on Putnam Pike recently.

Police said the two men stole about $840 worth of "assorted medications" from the store on Sept. 11.

The two suspects are implicated in similar thefts at CVS stores in New York, New Jersey and Maryland as well as Rhode Island.

The suspects left the scene in a red 2016 Ford Explorer with N.Y. registration No. HFE-1901. The vehicle is listed as "missing" by PV Holding Corp from an airport lot at JFK.
