Bobbi Calder, Abigail Grullon, and Aliyah Dantzler (Lincoln) — The Boat House, a popular restaurant in Tiverton has featured a special dish created by culinary students at William M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School. The dish is rosemary lemon pan-roasted lamb hops with a fondant potato, beets, and asparagus medley, and a lemon thyme cream sauce. This particular dish is special not just because it came from talented high school students, but also because it won the culinary arts portion of the 13th Annual Rhode Island ProStart High School Culinary, Food Service & Hotel Management Competition. The winning culinary team, composed of Bobbi Calder, Abigail Grullon, and Aliyah Dantzler, was led by Chef Santos Nieves. Their skills, creativity, and technical precision earned them first place at this year’s event, which featured the top student chefs from across the state. Read more here.
