Sharpen your culinary skills under the direction of Castle Hill Inn’s renowned Executive Chef Lou Rossi while enjoying a three-day culinary escape amidst the breathtaking fall foliage. The focus of this fall’s autumn class will be crafting a bountiful Thanksgiving feast. Chef Lou & Managing Director Brian Young, will kick off the weekend with a welcome reception followed by a special four-course menu in the Castle Hill Dining Room. On Saturday morning, Chef Lou will walk students through the art of cooking a signature turkey dinner and other entrées to sides. Later in the evening, Beverage Director Anthony Boi will discuss wine parings followed by a dessert class taught by Executive Pastry Chef, Matthew Petersen. Overnight packages start at $720 based on double occupancy plus tax. The culinary school, without accommodations, costs $275 per person plus tax.

Thanksgiving Dinner (November 26)

Castle Hill’s pristine 40 acres are the quintessential setting for a classic New England Thanksgiving. Chef Lou’s gourmet cookery superbly showcases the bounty of the fall harvest. The meal will kick off with appetizers such as Native littleneck clams, Matunuck oysters and chilled white shrimp. For the main event, an elaborate buffet and carving stations are complete with herb roasted Helger’s Farm turkey with sage gravy and cranberry sauce. A selection of traditional pies, pastries and tarts will be served for dessert. Prices start at $78 per person $28 children under 12, plus tax and gratuity.

Teddy Bear Tea (December 10 & 11)

A beloved Castle Hill tradition, this elegant event for children and their favorite teddy bears includes an afternoon of warm tea, petit fours and classic holiday readings. Families are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped teddy bear to donate to Child & Family of Newport County. Complimentary for children and $25.00 per adult.

Christmas on the Hill (December 24 – 26)

The Inn is always elegantly outfitted for the holiday season, making it a picturesque place to sip eggnog and enjoy a favorite book by the fire. Guests enjoy their own stocking during their stay, a signature Castle Hill Sherpa blanket, and depart with a handcrafted ornament to commemorate the holiday. Included as a part of this getaway, are a three-course menu Christmas Eve dinner or traditional Christmas Day feast. Overnight packages start at $625 per night based on double occupancy

New Year’s Eve – Capodanno at Castle Hill Inn (December 30 - January 1)

Castle Hill Inn is the ideal place to both relax and celebrate while ringing in the New Year. This year, Castle Hill Inn is putting an Italian spin on the holiday. Capodanno is the Italian word for New Year’s, and is seen as the culmination of festivities and a very special moment for share with dearest friends and family. After an evening of dinner and dancing, guests are invited to enjoy Castle Hill’s “Richiamino” – Italian for ‘hair of the dog,’ brunch on New Year’s Day.
