Centreville Bank Opens New Branch In Newport

NEWPORT, RI — Centreville Bank opened a new branch in Newport, CEO Harold Horvat said Thursday.

The new bank is located at 580 Thames St. in Newport. A bank spokesperson said the branch has full customer service for personal and business customers, as well as an ATM and an interactive teller machine (ITM) with interactive chat capabilities. A drive-thru ITM is also expected to open later this year, a bank spokesperson said.

"We’re proud to open our newest branch in Newport," Horvat said. "Adding a full-service branch in this part of the state is part of our long-term plan to increase our presence across Rhode Island. It has been several years since the people of the Fifth Ward have had a full-service bank in their neighborhood, so we’re pleased to offer them a convenient location that allows them to do all their personal and business banking, without having to travel to downtown Newport, particularly during the summer months."

The new branch is the 14th Centreville Bank location to open in Rhode Island.
